sculptures, paintings, poetry
let me exclude
almost all kind of music and novels at this point
the most of them were made with a clear purpose:
entertainment
back to the A R T S
what is the reason,
what the benefits?
merely to make money?
to become famous?
to refer to facts in a language that is difficult to understand?
to name, to point out certain aspects of human existence?
simply to have fun?
i conjure up the image of a headphone exhibition
the headphone exhibition
all the exhibition pieces are behind glass
you see different shapes and materials
you can study the information panels
but you can't listen to anything
there is nothing to listen to
what you are left with is your imagination
of course, only if you are willing to get this far
A R T is a meaningless, dispensable thing
on the other hand, A R T can create an ease
that is otherwise only known from intoxicating drugs
for both, the author and the recipient
it is the most independent language of all
and it is completely useless
in almost every way
visiting the headphone exhibition from time to time
is a good idea
we can say it's an important experience
at best the headphone exhibition clears the way
and opens the door
to extended disobedience
